Katsunori Nakata
Representative Director

The ETRIA Group was established in 2024 by Ricoh Company, Ltd. (Ricoh), Toshiba Tec Corporation (Toshiba Tec), and Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. (OKI) as a joint venture to develop and produce imaging equipment. Over the years, Ricoh, Toshiba Tec, and OKI have continuously strived to resolve the challenges of clients and society by digitalizing analog information  and realize a world where human creativity can be demonstrated even further. ETRIA, which has inherited this DNA, will take a step forward to shaping a new future.

Communication using paper is on the decline but it will never go away completely. With imaging equipment that can handle paper, there is a need for information to be safe and secure in this digital society while also continuing to reduce the burden on the environment. ETRIA aims to make the transition from a linear economy, in which consumption is one-way, to a circular economy that focuses on total recycling. We will also bring together knowledge that transcends culture to make proposals to support the resolution of social issues.

We will continue to evolve in a changing world and utilize the diversity of ETRIA to contribute to the further development of brand owners. In addition, by digitizing the vast amount of analog information in our daily lives and by developing and providing devices that embody digital information in the analog world, we will take on the challenge of creating a new world that seamlessly brings together humans and digital space.

ETRIA will strive to create corporate value through the development and production of imaging equipment that contributes to the advancement of digital services and by continuing to be needed and appreciated by stakeholders such as customers, business partners, employees, and local communities.

The meaning behind the company name ETRIA

The name "ETRIA" is an expression of the feelings in our new company's mission and vision.

The word “TRy" is embedded in the middle to represent our spirit to take on new challenges but with an “I" that symbolizes the “Innovation" that comes as a result. The "E" stands for “Eternal" which means our drive to challenge ourselves is never-ending and the final “A" represents the “Alliance" of technological capabilities we are bringing together that even go beyond the boundaries of the industry. Put all of these concepts together and you get "ETRIA”.

Also, we added the tagline "Your Digital Device Partner" to express our closeness with our customers, who are the driving force behind our innovation.
