Messages from the President

Representative Director Katsunori Nakata

The ETRIA Group is a newly established company through a joint venture between Ricoh and Toshiba Tec that develops and manufactures imaging equipment. Until this point, both companies had been continuously working toward digitizing the analog information of the world to solve customers' and society's problems as well as creating a world in which human creativity can be better expressed. By inheriting the DNA of both companies, ETRIA will take the next step in the challenge of building a new future.

Communication using paper is on the decline but it will never go away completely. With imaging equipment that can handle paper, there is a need for information to be safe and secure in this digital society while also continuing to reduce the burden on the environment. ETRIA aims to make the transition from a linear economy, in which consumption is one-way, to a circular economy that focuses on total recycling. We will also bring together knowledge that transcends culture to make proposals to support the resolution of social issues.

We will continue to evolve in a changing world and utilize the diversity of ETRIA to contribute to the further development of brand owners. In addition, by digitizing the vast amount of analog information in our daily lives and by developing and providing devices that embody digital information in the analog world, we will take on the challenge of creating a new world that seamlessly brings together humans and digital space.

ETRIA will strive to create corporate value through the development and production of imaging equipment that contributes to the advancement of digital services and by continuing to be needed and appreciated by stakeholders such as customers, business partners, employees, and local communities.
